Advanced Training at The Alpha Workshops is a 26 week program that takes trainees from the classroom and begins to expose them to real decorative arts projects. Admission to the Advanced Training program is by invitation only and requires Basic Training as a prerequisite.
Participants in the Advanced Training take the skills they learned during the 10-week Basic Training and apply them to our commissioned projects. During the 26 weeks, advanced trainees are rotated through the three main departments of the studio: Wallpaper, Decorative Painting and 3-Dimensional Projects. Each rotation consists of more intensive, higher level training in different techniques. That training is then directly applied to paid projects from the design studio.
VESID provides tuition support for the Advanced Training program and participants receive an hourly salary during the 26 weeks.
